London Demonstration
Sir,—On page 17 of today’s issue is a photograph titled, “Anti-apartheid Demonstration in London.” Of a total of 15 banners displayed by the demonstrators depicted therein, I counted 12 as being those of our British colleagues in the National Front, calling for the repatriation of coloured immigrants, and support for National Front policies which are pro-apartheid, pro-Rhodesia, and Britain first. Would it perhaps not have been more correct to have labelled the photograph, “Counter - demonstration at Anti-apartheid Rilly in London”?—Yours, etc., B. B. THOMPSON, National Secretary, New Zealand National Front. Ashburton, June 3, 1969.
