Two Men Injured
Two young men were admitted to Christchurch Hospital with injuries they suffered when the motor scooter they were riding slid on Victoria Street, near the Durham Street intersection, at 12.53 a.m. yesterday. Both of the men, Gordon Leslie Dicker, of 6A Janet Street, who suffered leg and head injuries, and lan Warwick Gowland, of 32 Mona Vale Avenue, who suffered leg injuries, were in a satisfactory condition last evening. A 13-year-old girl, Dorothy Stout, of 47 Maunsell Street, was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital with head and leg injuries she suffered when she was struck by a car at the intersection of Opawa and Curries Hoads at 10.45 a.m. yesterday. Her condition last evening was satisfactory.
