WOOL STEADY AT DUNEDIN SALE
(New Zealand Press Association) ’ ' DUNEDIN, May 21. Crossbred fleece and second shear generally sold at unchanged prices at Dunedin today compared with the recent Auckland sale.

Compared with the Christchurch sale on May 16 the small quantity of halfbreds was fully 21 per cent dearer for ordinary styles, with better descriptions being fully firm. Competition was fairly general, most of it coming from the Continent, with good support from Bradford, local mills and the United States.
The sale was the eighth and final at Dunedin for the season. Commission Wool The official report said that the offering was 19,040 bales of greasy on account of growers and 6076 bales of greasy and 1141 bales of scoured on account of the Wool Commission. For an end-of-season sale the wools offered, were of a good standard.
The majority of the clip was made up of crossbred wools.
The entry of second-shear and lambs was a fairly large
one and included many good yielding lines. Oddment wools were also in the main better yielding and of good colour compared with most ind-of-season sales.
The offering of fine wools was a very limited one.
