BASKETBALL TOURNEY
Waimea College Wins
Waimea College decisively beat Mairehau High School. 6135. to win the South Island secondary schoolgirls’ indoor basketball tournament, which ended at the Cowles Stadium on Friday. Waimea College finished the tournament unbeaten. St Philomena’s College (Dunedin) was second, with only one loss, and Mairehau High School third, with two losses.
