Bonnie Frost Second
(N.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY. The New Zealand filly. Bonnie Frost, was beaten in a photofinish in Australian record time in the Edgar Tatlow Stakes at Harold Park on Friday night. James Darran, unbeaten at Harold Park, finished too strongly for Bonnie Frost, beating her by two yards, with Never Say Die a yard away third. James Darran ran the mile from the mobile start in 2min 2 3-ssec, taking 2 2-ssec off the Australian record set by the New Zealander, Cardinal Garrison, in winning this race last year. Bonnie Frost, which was driven by J. B. Noble, raced in third place for most of the way and hit the lead within 50 yards of the post.
