Cat Skins
Sir,—ls it legal for cat skins to be exported from New Zealand? Is cat trapping legal? If not, does the S.P.C.A. prosecute offenders? —Yours, etc., FACTS, PLEASE. May 9, 1969.
[Mr J. L. Paulden, secretary of the Canterbury Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, replies: “This appears to be a legal inquiry which could best be answered by a lawyer. Our society investigates all reported cases of cruelty and takes appropriate action (including prosecution where necessary) if the circumstances justify it.”]
