University Council Nominations

Four nominations for two seats on the council of the University of Canterbury elected by the court of convocation had been received when nominations closed on Monday. They were Messrs T. H. McCombs, a sitting member and Chancellor of the university, N. B. Ullrich, a public accountant, D. L. Steven, a consultant engineer, and the Rev. D. R. Wilson, former university chaplain. The other sitting member, the Very Rev. M. W. Wilson, has retired.

Only one nomination, that of the sitting member, Professor A. Crowther, the Pro-Vice-Cbancellor, was received for a member to be elected by the Professorial Board.
