Title Game Adjourned
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) MOSCOW.
The world chess champion, T. Petrosyan, and the challenger, B. Spassky, on Monday night adjourned the eleventh game in the series for the world title at the forty-second move.
Spassky, who leads by 5.5 points to 4.5 in the series, played cautiously after his loss on Friday but was putting pressure on Petrosyan when the game was adjourned. The challenger needs seven more points to capture Petrosyan’s title, while Petrosyan needs seven points and a half to retain the championship.
