Badminton Changes
The Canterbury division 1 badminton team to play in the first representative matches against Wellington, Otago and Southland in the quadrangular tournament in Christchurch on June 26 contains two changes from the team of last season. G. Ellis (Canterbury) has been promoted to the senior representative side ahead of E. Ogier (Knox) and Miss F. Inglis (Bryndwr), who is a former Canterbury and South Island table tennis representative, has replaced Miss L. Tucker (University) in the women's team. G. A. Miller has been appointed captain of the division I side ahead of the former captain, P. V. Boatwood.
The teams in alphabetical order are:—Division I, Men.—P. V. Boatwood (Mairehau), Ellis, G. G. Ford (University), Miller (Railway, captain). Women.— Mrs P. Duckmanton (Railway), Miss S. Field (Knox). Inglis, Miss C. Rear (Christchurch). Division It (to play Southland on June 7). Men.—B. G. Hadlee (Knox, captain, H. Little (Canterbury). Ogier, B. Wylie (Christchurch). Women.—Mrs M. Brown (Christchurch). Miss S. Dench (Mairehau), Mrs M. Miller (Railway). Miss K. Pepper (Canterbury).
