Charge Dismissed
A Rome Magistrate today dismissed a charge that the actress, Gina Lollobrigida, had broken the law by referring to the police as “cretins” in a comedy sequence in her latest film, “Buona Sera, Mrs Campbell.” The Genoa Police Commissioner (Mr Vincenzo Fontana) was not amused by the scene, and filed the charge after seeing it. The magistrate, dismissing the charge, said the picture was a comedy and the police in the film did make stupid manoeuvres in the chase.—Rome, May 13.
