Scanty Town Fire
More than 9000 persons were made homeless when a fire swept through a shanty town area in Rio de Janeiro and destroyed 1000 shacks. Twenty-eight people, including four firemen, were hurt in the blaze.—Rio de Janeiro, May 12.
