Reply To Kremlin

t.v.z. Press Assn. —Copyright) TITOGRAD (Jugoslavia), May 12.

President Tito of Jugoslavia bluntly told the Soviet Union yesterday that Jugoslavia did not recognise limitations of sovereignty.

Speaking at a mass meeting in Titograd, capital of the Republic of Montenegro, President Tito said: “We do not recognise any limitation of sovereignty, we have gained our sovereignty with our own forces, we shed a sea of blood for it and-we must defend our achievements.”

This was evidently a reply to the Kremlin doctrine of limited sovereignty of Socialist countries, which emerged after the military Soviet-led intervention in Czechoslovakia.
