DRAW IN HOCKEY
(N.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY. The touring New Zealand women’s hockey team battled to a 3-3 draw against Sydney on Saturday after trailing 0-1 at half-time. Playing in warm conditions on a fast ground New Zealand was slow to settle down in the first half and the Sydney side had much more of the play. After the interval the New Zealanders got the ball moving much better and with more forward combination outscored Sydney to level the match.
