Property Auctions
A 40-year-old cottage with three bedrooms on a section of 36 perches at 37 Blake Street. New Brighton, was sold for $2850 at auction on Friday. The auctioneer was Mr M. H. McCrostie, of N. H. MeCrostie and Company, Ltd. A property of 40 perches at 149 Victoria Street, ineluding a modem block of two selfcontained large maisonettes and an older residence which has been used for commercial purposes, was passed in for $35,000 when it was offered at auction on Friday. The Government valuation was $28,000. The auctioneer was Mr D. O. Chapman, of Ford and Hadfield, Ltd.
