(New Zealand Press Association)
WELLINGTON, May 12.
The directors of Clarke Petrous, Ltd, of Auckland, have received a notice of intention from Concrete Industries (Monier), Ltd, of Sydney, to make a take-over offer.
The offer will be for a cash consideration of $9.95 for each of the 360,000 fully paid $1 shares in the capital of Clarke Petrous, and shareholders have been advised not to sell any of their shares in the meantime.
Monier said in Sydney today that Clarke Petrous was a substantial organisation also engaged in the manufacture of concrete products. In 1965 the two companies
formed a joint company to manufacture, supply, and fix Monier roofing tiles in New Zealand, and this comany has been in production for the last three years. The registrar of overseas take-overs in New Zealand had approved the proposed offer, Monier said. Provision was being made for future participation by the New Zealand public in the Monier tile operations. ." ' ;
