Oil On Road
Oil was spread along Ferry Road near Aidwins Road When « large truck lost its sump plug at 4.50 p.m. yesterday. Other vehicles spread the oil with their tyres and one spun on the slippery surface. The Christchurch City Council traffic department broadcast a warning at 6.30 p.m. that rain or heavy dew would make the surface extremely slippery but late last evening ho accidents had been reported.
