5078 Wait For Treatment

HAMILTON, May 9. There were 5078 people waiting to go into the Waikato Hospital, a member of the Waikato Hospital Board, Mr A. E. Bryant, told the annual conference of Waikato Federated Farmers in Hamilton yesterday. Mr Bryant said there were 3543 on the waiting list in 1967. In April, 1967, there were 232 semi-urgent cases. In March this year the figure was 520.
