Mail Boxes Damaged
Detectives are investigating a fire which badly damaged two mail boxes at the Opawa Post Office shortly before 10 a.m. on Saturday. It is believed that part of a telephone book was lit and thrown into one of the mail boxes.
A handset was pulled off one of the telephones in the Post Office and burnt paper was found in the coin refund slot of the telephone box. Firemen forced open the front door of the Post Office and hacked open the back of the mail boxes to get at the blaze.
