Electricians Strike Again

AUCKLAND, May 9.
The strike by 500 electricians employed by Auckland electrical contractors is on again. They struck on Wednesday for a pay rate of $1.50 an hour and one hour a day travelling time. This decision was reversed yesterday so that the Auckland Electrical Workers’ Union could discuss the dispute with employers. Today, after hearing that the talks had broken down, they went back on strike. The union secretary (Mr J. Taylor) said the decision was ,unanimous.
The Contractors’ Association had not shifted from its $1.25 an hour offer and 30 minutes travelling time if the worker went straight to the job site,
