The company is a New Zealand owned fire, marine and accident insurance company with branches throughout the world. At present the EDP Division processes renewal, accounting and various statistical data for 25 branches throughout Australasia and it is planning for the implementation of a full management information system during 1970-72. The equipment in use is an IBM System 360 with 3 disks and programming is completed in Assembler language with PL/1 being considered for use later in the year. The applicant should be over 25 years of age and should have a minimum of 2 years’ programming experience including a knowledge of System 360 assembler or PL/1 language. The position is of a senior nature and will command a salary which will be fully commensurate with the responsibilities and duties.
