Box 504, Timaru. 3033 MINISTRY OF WORKS NEW PLYMOUTH POWER STATION INVITATION TO TENDER FOR SUPPLY AND FABRICATION OF STEELWORK FOR THE MAIN BUILDINGS EXCLUDING BOILERS IT is desired to engage contracting firm or firms with suitable experience to execute the above work. The steelwork will comprise approximately 6000 tons, mostly ordinary structural quality but with about 10 per cent welding quality high yield grade and will be of light medium and heavy sections and plate in fabricated units. Delivery to site Is required in stages between June 1970 and March 1071 with completion by 31.3.71. Some site erection may be included In the contract but a decision on this awaits further progress tn job planning. Copies of a preliminary statement describing the work will < be available at the end of May from the Secretary, Tenders Board, Ministry of Works, Box 12003, Wellington. The purpose of this statement is to enable firms to familiarise themselves with the extent and nature of the work, and the supply situ- , a||on for steel and to assess their possible future work loads. ~ .
