N.Z. GOLF CIRCUIT
Top Asians May Tour (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The New Zealand professional golfer, W. J. Godfrey, has returned from playing on the Far East circuit with the news that between eight and 10 top Japanese and Chinese golfers may compete here next summer. Godfrey, who is to be married next Saturday at Matamata, before going to Australia for five months’ tournament play, said that among the Asian players interested in coming were the Japanese H. Sugimoto, a recent winner of the Taiwan open and a visitor here three years ago; T. Suzumuri, also of Japan, and the Chinese professionals, Hsih Min-Nan and Chang Chun-Fa, both of Taiwan. The other players were not so well known, but were nevertheless good professionals, he said.
