Evaluation Of N.Z. Aircraft

HAMILTON, May 8. The Indian Government will evaluate a Hamiltonbuilt agricultural aircraft for possible use in a farm-devel-opment programme. A Fletcher FU24 utility aircraft would be flown to India next month, the general manager of Air Parts (N.Z.), Ltd (Mr G. Scheltema), Mid in Hamilton today.
“Indications are that the potential in India is such that it justifies the expense t of getting an agricultural aircraft there,” he said' "The agricultural industry in India will be developing very rapidly during the next five years. “For two years we have been negotiating and making submissions to Indian au-‘ thorities. “The Indian Government has set up a special committee for evaluating agricultural aircraft, and the Fletcher we are sending will be competing' against competition from several other overseas concerns.”
