Car Thieves Deterred
To make It more difficult for car thieves to remove all identification marks from a vehicle, a London company is now engraving registration numbers in the glass of the car windows. The work costs customers $6 a car, the job taking about 15 minutes. The engraving is four-thousandths of an inch deep, and can only be removed by replacing all the windows.
