Lucky Tom Is Fit
‘■The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND. Lucky Tom and Gold Oaks, winners at Wbangarei last week, indicated by a first-rate trial at Pukekobe yesterday that they might win again at Alexandra Park tomorrow night. They ran the last quarter of 13 furlongs, which took 3min 51 3-ssec. in 31 3-ssec. Gerrand paced a mile and a half in 3min 28 3-ssec. After going at a leisurely rate for the first mile, he ran the last halfmile in Imin 4 l-ssec. Anima and Royalistic took 3min 22sec for their nrile an* a half. They were together at the finish after Aruma had led to the half furlong. The last half-mile was run in Imin 4sec. Ricdaie drew attention to her chance in the Shadow Maid Pace when she ran away from Selena and King's Guard over the final stages of 13 furlongs. The last mile and a half took 3min 34sec. and the last halfmile Imin 4 2-ssec.
