Superspan In Good Run
"The Preaa" Special Service DUNEDIN. Superspan and Tranquil Flight were easily the best trlallsts at Wingatui yesterday when the final gallops for the Winton Jockey Club's meeting were held under fine, but cold, conditions on a soft track. Tranquil Flight (B. J. Anderton) «nd Superspan (J. D. Pankhurst) dashed over five furlongs on the Inside grass In 1:4, the last three furlongs in 39 3-5. Ma Jeune (L. Oldham) and her stablemate, Ski (Marchmeat), ran over the same ground in 1:5 3-5 and kept up a solid gallop over the last three furlongs In 49 2-5. Cesare Borgia (Robinaon) rounded off a mile and a quarter of solid pace work by coming home the last five furlongs Atlantic Flight (B. Anderton) and Kurwood (Mee) could have improved on 1:7 2-5, the laat three furlonga in 41. This time was equalled by Lochinvar (McAra,) which shaded Llaten Lady (Adams) and waa clear of Berwln (Kennedy). Lochinvar ran the laat half-mile In 54 4-5. Etassem (Cuttance) and Dime (Brown) completed a round of fiace work with three furlongs n 41. Etassem later jumped two flights of hurdles In fine style. Sunny Filou (Kennedy), Blue Amber (Prendergast) and Jan Belle (Scott) were together throughout half a mile in 53 2-5, the last three In 42 4-5. The Medico (Robinson) and Beau Coup (Marchment) gained qualifying tickets,
