Graduation Ball
This year, for the first time, the University of Canterbury’s annual Graduation Ball was too big to be held in one place. Last night it was held at the Winter Garden and the tea kiosk at Addington Raceway. About 1600 guests attended.
The Chancellor of the University (Mr T. H. McCombs) and Mrs McCombs, and Professor and Mrs J. C. Garrett received guests at the Winter Garden.
At the Addington kiosk, the Vice-Chancellor (Mr N. C. Phillips) and Mrs Phillips, and Mr and Mrs J. N. Matson welcomed the guests.
