MRS B. HUTCHISON Mrs Bertha Hutchison, who ; died' recently at Hastings, was i prominent in welfare work l in North Canterbury. She i was the widow of the late i Ramsay Hutchison, who was ' well known tor his public ’ service in the Rangiora dis- ; tnct Mrs Hutchison was former > president and life member l of the Rangiora Plunket ' Society, and an active mem- ' ber of the Red Cross and I the Women’s Division of i Federated Fanners. She was 1 also a staunch supporter of ! St John’s Anglican Church, , Rangiora. Mrs Hutchison was born in Woodend on December 8, i 1881, the eldest daughter of 1 the late Mr and Mrs Frederick , Harrell, an early Canterbury i pioneer family.
