Winding-up Appeals
A decision is expected today by the Court of Appeal on appeals against winding-up orders made in the Supreme Court at Christchurch late last year against Bateman Television, Ltd, and Bateman T.V. Hire, Ltd. This information was given to Mr Justice Macarthur yesterday by Mr J. R. Fox, who as counsel sought and was granted an adjournment to May 28 of a winding-up petition brought against another company in the Bateman group. Star T.V., Ltd. The winding-up proceedings against all three companies were brought by a finance company,, for which MT Fox appears. Bankruptcy Discharge
John Charles Parker, a builder (Mr A. N.Maclean) was granted a discharge from bankruptcy, conditional bn his consent to judgment against him for $7OO, in favour of the Official Assignee.
