Weavers And Spinners
The Canterbury Guild of Weavers and Spinners was formed at a meeting of 55 persons in Christchurch recently. The meeting was held in the gallery of the Little Woodware Shop In Victoria Street and was addressed by Mrs Ida Lough. Officers elected were:— patron, Mr J. White; president, Mrs Mary Bartlett; vicepresident, Mrs Ida Lough; secretary, Mrs Doreen Fraser; treasurer, Miss Marie Deal; committee, Mesdames Muriel Hill, Nora Machin, Jan Todd, Muriel Wallace, Pauline Pease, Jenny Hunt, ..Misses.
