NATIONAL RESERVES
New Concept Proposed (NtZ. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 7. A new concept in regional and national reserves in which land remained in private ownership, but the public had access, was suggested by the chairman of the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board (Mr J. W. Kealy, S.M.), today. He said that in the Mount Snowdon National Park in Britaiti,'the land remained in private ownership, but its use was restricted. Mr Kealy made his suggestion atan appeal by the Auckland Regional Authority against a Rodney County Council, decision to rezone 130 icres at Algies Bay from rural to residential. There would probably need to be a change in New Zealand law before this scheme could be put into effect, he said.
