Princess In Vienna
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) VIENNA, May 7. Vienna today warmly welcomed the arrival by air of Princess Anne to join her parents, Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh, on their State visit to Austria. The Princess, who is very popular among the Viennese because of her youthful charm and interest in sport, was originally due to have arrived with the Queen and Prince Philip three days ago, when they began their sixday visit, but was delayed by a bout of influenza.
The news of her recovery was splashed across the front pages of Vienna newspapers, with headlines such as “The Princess Is Coming After All.”
Princess Anne, for whom this is her first State visit, has missed several strenuous State occasions, including a gala dinner at the Hofburg, the former imperial palace, and a reception at Schoenbrunn Palace.
