fN.Z. Frets Aim. —Copyright) LONDON, May 7. A controversy has arisen in Vienna over the Queen’s tea, the London newspapers report They say it began when, during the Queen’s State visit the Austrians heard that the Queen had taken her own special supply of water for her tea. They could not understand it “We even export water to England because of its excellent quality for making tea,” claimed a Vienna city councillor, Mr Hubert Pfoch. But Mr Ernest Linton, press secretary at the British Embassy, smoothed things over diplomatically. “Her Majesty will certainly use Viennese water when she sips that unmatched Austrian speciality, Viennese coffee,” he said.
