Graduation Week
Sir,—Perhaps by including in the “usual nonsense of Capping Week" a rather rustic trampling on the city’s green fingers, Cr Skellerup is dismissing as a “flash in the pan" yet another jibe at the image of New Zealand’s horticultural industry. We are told
that capping week stunts, “Procesh” and so forth are a comment on society. If this comment indicates a lack of respect for local government, it is hardly the university curriculum which is at fault. —Yours, etc., VIRGINIA M. MATSON, Dip. Hort. 11, Lincoln College.
