Scholarship Winner
Mr G. K. Aiderton has been awarded the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company Scholarsh’u for 1969.
Mr Aiderton, who is 21, attended Wanganui Boys’ College and the University of Canterbury. He graduated bachelor of engineering in 1968 with first class honours in mechanical engineering and is at present studying for a master’s degree in engineering which he expects to finish at the end of this year.
The Canterbury Frozen Meat Company Scholarship, which is awarded every year, is designed to encourage fundamental research in engineering and is worth $6OO. Mr Aiderton was awarded the Todd Motors Scholarship of $6OO in 1968, and has been awarded the Mercer Memorial Scholarship for 1969, which is worth $4OO. Eventually he hopes to work in New Zealand.
