Farm Talks In U.K.

WELLINGTON, May 7. The president of Federated Farmers (Mr P. S. Plummer) will go to Britain for talks with the Government about its primary produce importing policies. He will have talks with the Minister of Agriculture (Mr Cledwyn-Hughes), the shadow Conservative agriculture minister (Mr J. Godher), the National Farmers’ Union president (Mr G. T. Williams) and officials. Federated Farmers said today that Mr Plummer's mission had the full endorsement of the Government and the producer boards. He will leave on May 12 with the general secretary of Federated Fanners (Mr J. G. Pryde).
