Toll Calls
During the first four months of the year nearly Im toll calls were handled by the Post Office in Christchurch. From January 1 to April 30 there were 997,381 calls —an increase of 121,877 on the same period last year. The Chief Postmaster (Mr M. T. Reedy) said that the 13.8 per cent increase, could have been a result of the general improvement in the economy.
