The purpose of the society is to help young odolescents who leave Special Classes for Backward Children at school and to integrate them successfully into work and community life. Because of their lower ability, these young people feet greater difficulties in making the necessary adjustments. Without anistance from the society many of these young people could be deprived of their rights to become happy productive members of the community. The proceeds from the collection will be used to: (1) Ensure the regular income of a part-time social worker who maintains regular contact with these young people, their parents and employers. (2) Finance renovations and improvements to the Society's Adventure Lodge at Governor's Bay.
