ADELAIDE CUP
Four From N.Z. In Field (N.2. Press Assn.—Copvripht)
ADELAIDE. Four New Zealand-bred horses- Fulmen. Bergman, Sir Kinsman and Persian' Pharaoh, will run in the 818,500 Adelaide Cup, two miles, at Morphetville today. The top-weight end favourite, Arctic Coast, which has 8-0, adds another New Zealand interest as his sire, Arctic Explorer, formerly in Victoria, now stands in the Dominion. When Fulmen, also a Brisbane Cup winner, won the 1967 Adelaide Cup It was an all-New Zealand finish. Swift General and Te Parae were the minor place-getters. Fulmen was a fast finishing second in 1966, after a severe check at the half-mile, and he was a close fourth last year. His latest form has not been his best, but he Is well seasoned to run the two miles.
Arctic Coast, like Fulmen, is trained by j. B. Cummings.
