Enrolment Service
Forty-one members of the 20th Christchurch Company of the Girls* Brigade attended the company’s annual enrolment service at St Paul’s Presbyterian Church. The company is attended by girls from the inner city, Aranui, Cashmere and Papanui. Twelve new members were presented by the captain (Mrs K. Gray) for enrolment for the first time. Seven were members of the junior section, four company members, and one pioneer. A parade was held before the service and the company colours were paraded. The colours are one of only four in Christchurch. Mcst companies still have the colours used when the movement was known-as the Giris’ Life Brigade.
