Police Study Death

Police are investigating the death of one of Prince Charles’s Welsh tutors. Professor Ogwen Williams, a 45-year-old bachelor, was found dead on a lonely beach six miles , from Aberystwyth,, on the central coast of Wales. His car nearby was ' in a foot of water, and’police said he had drowned. Professor Williams, bead of the Welsh history department at Aberystwyth University, gave the Prince several tutorials in the last fortnight One theory is that after falling asleep Professor Williams woke up to find the tide in, and slipped and drowned while wading to the shore.
At high tide the . spot is under 4ft of water.
