Labour Policy
Sir, —1951 election figures: Eligible to vote, 1,206,460; votes obtained by the National Party, 557,623. Simple arithmetic will show that the National Party was more than 45,000 votes short of obtaining 50 per cent of the eligible votes as claimed by “Aranui Pensioner.” These are official statistics which he can easily verify.—Yours, etc.,
M. T. MOORE. May 6, 1969.
