Rest for Rattray
The Canterbury men’s basketball representative, D. Rattray (Y.M.C.A.) will probably miss a large part of this season’s A grade club competition. Several minor operations have forced him on to the sidelines and his doctor has estimated that it might be up to eight weeks before he can play basketball again.
However, Rattray, who was the highest scorer in club basketball last season, is hoping that he will be back in the game before this. Unfortunately, his chances of retaining his place in the Canterbury team will be placed in jeopardy. He has been selected for the training squad but will not be available for the first few games.
