Israeli Jets Attack Arabs
(NZ-P-A.-Reuter— Copyright! TEL AVIV, April 29. Israeli jets today swept across the River Jordan to silence Arab posts which had shelled Israeli troops south of the Sea of Galilee.
A military spokesman in Tel Avis- said five Israeli soldiers were wounded during bazooka and mortar attacks across the river.
From New York it is reported that the United Nations representatives of the four Great Powers will today resume their talks, initiated by General de Gaulle, on the Middle East situation The representatives will meet at the residence of the Russian Ambassador (Mr Jakob Malik) for their sixth conference since the talks began on April 3.
A reliable French source has rejected speculation that the talks will be postponed until France's new President is elected next month. "De Gaulle's departure will have ni immediate effect on them, the source said. It was admitted, however, that uncertainty over the evolution of France's Middle East policies might slow down the talks, where only little progress has been registered so far. "This would please the Israelis.” the source added, "because they have opposed
the very concept of fourPower talks from the start."
