INSIGNIA RING.—This amethyst ring, mounted in gold, is part of the insignia of the Prince of Wales for his investiture. The gold, obtained near Caernarvon, is fashioned into two Welsh dragons which hold the stone in their claws. The ring was made in 1911 to a design by Sir Goscombe John. R.A., a Welsh artist.
