Titles For Lake Ida
The New Zealand long and short track speed ice skating championships will be held at Lake Ida from July 17 to 20, it was decided at the annual conference of the national association in Timaru. The junior figure skating championships to be held dur* ing the August school holidays and the intermediate and senior figure skating championships on July 12 were allocated to Wellington and Albury, respectively. Officers elected were: Patron, Mr V. Hahn (Timaru): president. Mr H. A. Allchurch (Christchurch): vice-presidents, Messrs A. A. Weeds (Invercargill), J. H. Havenaar (Christchurch); council. Mesdames G. Mitchell, B. Bridgeman (Alexandra). P. B. Heuinson (Christchurch) Mr I. B. McDonald (Christchurch); secretary treasurer, Mr A. M. Grafton (Christchurch); figure committee. Mesdames Hewinson. J. Begej (Christchurch), Mr McDonald; speed committee, Messrs D. J. Lyttle, W. D. Bayne. T. Skerten, McDonald, G. Glover. C. Baird. Havenaar. K. Nicolle: ice hockey committee. Messrs C. J. Rogers. B. Patterson (Albury), A. Ellis (Christchurch); editor. Mr Grafton.
