Offered Use Of Ground
(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON. The Waikato Rugby League has offered the use of its Huntly headquarters, Davies Park, for the soccer match between a New Zealand XI and the English F.A. team on Saturday, June 7. The League secretary, Mr M. Fisher, said yesterday his organisation decided to make Davies Park available when it learned the Waikato Rugby Union had refused a request hy the soccer association to use Rugby Park, Hamilton.
Mr Fisher estimated that with the addition of auxiliary stands at the northern and southern ends of the ground, Davies Park could accommodate up to 5000. The soccer authorities yesterday had not had time to consider the offer.
