$297,000 CONTRACT
Student Hall At Ham A tender of $297,000 by T. E. Marriot and Son, Ltd, has been accepted for the building of the first stage of the new Rochester Hall, the Roman Catholic student hall of residence at Ham. Included In the first stage is an accommodation block for 41 students and common rooms, together with the kitchen, dining-room and entrance foyer, which will be central amenities for the completed plan. The entire plan caters for 200 students, but this may be enlarged, using the ground available, to house 400 students. The central amenities have been planned with this possible enlargement in mind. The architects for the hall, which will be one of several church hails grouped round the university at Ham, are Charles R. Thomas and Associate.
