fN.Z.P.A -Reuter—Copyright > PAPEETE. April 28. For the first time since General de Gaulle came to power, the French South Pacific territory of Papeete yesterday voted “no” in a referendum. With a few hundred votes still to come in from the nearby Tuamoto Islands, the result of the referendum was 47.22 per cent "yes” and 52.78 per cent “no” votes. The “yes” votes totalled 13.584 compared with 15,180 “noes.” The turn-out was 71 per cent
