R. TULLOCH (right), a first-grade black-belt karate exponent, practising with T. Trainer at the Kanku Karate Academy in Christchurch on Saturday. Both men have just returned from Japan, where they received three months intensive training under the supervision of the world’s best karate teacher, Mas Oyana. Tulloch was awarded the black belt at the school and Trainer the brown belt.
